Stomach & Spleen Channel Practice
The summer months often make us think about reviewing our diet, with an urge to being healthier as we?become?more energetic with the longer days and nights (and perhaps wearing less layers!!)
?
This is a good time to?focus?on a Spleen (Yin) and Stomach (Yang) Meridian?practice. These two organs are most affected by our diet. ?The spleen is the primary organ for digestion, a blood reservoir (supplying the body with blood in?emergencies), and about the same size as the heart. ?The stomach also a primary organ for digestion,?receiving food and beginning the process of assimilation and distribution. A healthy diet supports healthy stomach and spleen Qi.
?
Stomach and spleen Qi is connected with the earth element and a sense of being at home inside ourselves. ?Emotional Qi qualities is associated with our connection to the world around us, contentment, an?ability to be at ease.??Stagnation leads to?pensiveness, worry, insecurity and weakens our?ability to digest.
?
Let our practice help us to remove any stagnation…
