This fusion class of Yin yoga with Vinyasa flow creates an integrated, balanced yoga practice. The class starts with grounding Pranayama, moving into a dynamic heat generating flowing Vinyasa, that physically re-energises the body, building strength and stability whilst calming the mind. Here we play with poses, normally with a theme working specific areas of the body like the back, core, hips, legs, shoulders etc.. supported by the breath, bandha and balance.
This paves the way for the Yin portion of the class, allowing the deeper, longer 2-5 minute held poses associated with Yin. These longer held poses mainly working on the lower part of the body – the hips, pelvis, inner thigh and lower spine and are designed to release the connective tissues, the ligaments, joints, bones, and deep fascia networks to maintain the integrity of the joints; allowing energy to flow more freely through the body, offering both mental and emotional wellbeing.
