"Yoga, as a way of life and a philosophy, can be practiced by anyone with inclination to undertake it, for yoga belongs to humanity as a whole."
“Yoga does not just change the way we see things, it transforms the person who sees.”
Lynne began her yoga journey with Hatha style classes 20 years ago and soon became a converted yogi. Moving to London in the late 90s allowed Lynne to deepen her yoga practice trying different teachers and styles, as well as completing a foundation course in holistic therapies. On returning to Scotland, Lynne added Ashtanga to her practice in 2007 working with certified Ashtanga practitioners such as Kino McGregor and Rowena Warren. More recently Lynne’s yoga journey has been evolving, adopting a functional Yin Yoga approach to her practice working with Sarah Powers and Dhugal Meachem. This has enable her to develop a Yin Yang style of class, providing a truly balancing practice. Lynne continues to train and study with her teachers on a regular basis.
Lynne now teaches Ashtanga, Yin and Yin Yang Flow, Kids Yoga and Family Yoga at Cambusbarron Community Centre, the Peak, the Allan Centre and the Wee Yoga Room as well as one to ones. Lynne is also part of a vibrant yoga community in Stirling and Falkirk working in schools and nurseries. You may also find her covering classes throughout the Forth Valley area!
Lynne’s desire to share the benefits of yoga has led to specific training with various yoga schools. In 2015 she graduated from the Classical Yoga School, as a Yoga Alliance RYS200 Hatha Raja qualified Yoga Teacher. Since then up until the present Lynne has added Yoga Alliance certified 100hrs Kids Yoga Training with Little Greene Yoga and will complete her final 50hrs module of a 200hrs Yoga Alliance Certified Yin Yoga Teacher Training programme in May 2019, with Tribe Yoga Academy. Lynne’s intention is to continue her training, working towards her 500hrs Yoga Alliance qualification.
September 2018 Lynne practiced with international yogis Kino MacGregor and Tim Feldmann. These teachings were then translated into the successful Breath, Bandha and Balance Workshop. There will be more workshops offered early 2019.
